I am having a terrible time deciding on the flowers for my bouquet. We are getting married in late spring 2009. Can you tell me what flowers you have chosen for your bouquet. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

My bouquet will be all white ranunculuses. My wedding colors are cranberry and orange. What are your favorite colors? Rachel, the moderator came up with the idea of using paint chips to help you determine your colors.

I think that I am going with lavender and blue for my colors. I just love lavender and hope to find my bm's dressess in lavender. I don't know if I want to go with some traditional bouquet in a white or go with something really exotic with lavender and blue.

My bouquet is made with pink and white Centifolia roses. They are very beautiful with large, fragrant blooms.

I am going with orchids-my favorite. It will be white and green cymbidium orchids, yellow orchids, small green dendrobium orchids, grass, babies breath and a hot pink ribbon with crystals.

Thanks for all of your help. They all sound so gorgeous! I am rethinking the blue and lavender. I saw an all white bouquet that i thought was gorgeous-it was made up of white cymbidium orchids, white roses, freesia. Freesia has such a beautiful fragrance. But please keep the ideas coming.

This is a shameless plug for one of our florists, but I thought it was worth bringing up. The florist is called Savvy Silks (www.savvysilk.com/wedding_flowers) and they specialize in silk flowers. Now I was thinking probably what you are thinking and that is who would want silk flowers? Artificial flowers look well artificial. But in looking at Savvy Silks website I was totally impressed with their bouquets. They look real! Plus they look very elegant. One reason you may want to consider silk is that the flowers you want are out of season and you would have difficulty in getting them for your wedding. Another reason is if you are having an outdoor wedding and are concerned that the flowers will hold up okay. Silk may be a reasonable alternative for you. Just something to think about.
