Are we supposed to send out invitations for the rehearsal dinner? Who pays for them, picks them out and mails them? My FI's parents are paying for the rehearsal dinner so I was wondering if it is left up to them.

The hosts-traditionally the groom's parents-pick the invitations and get them mailed out. They will ask you who you want to invite. If the groom's parents are not paying for the rehearsal dinner whoever is hosting the dinner is responsible for the invitations.
