We just got engaged over Thanksgiving. I was expecting the question during Christmas, but he surprised me! I am so excited. We haven't set the date yet, but we are planning about a year to a year and a half. I need help on everything. We want to get married in the Arlington ,Fort Worth area and would like some type of historic building, house or mansion. Does anyone have any ideas for me?

You might want to check out the Stockyards Hotel. It is a 100 year old hotel in the Historic Stockyard District. Their web address is www.stockyardshotel.com. Their site is fairly light on what they offer for weddings, but you do get a good idea about the hotel itself.

The YWCA in downtown Fort Worth. They are listed in Weddingwishes.com. This is what it says on the website: "This is an ideal setting for weddings and receptions with seating for up to 175. Tables and chairs are provided. Catering of your choice. Exceptionally long rental times are available. The Great Room, located on the first floor, provides an elegant setting for a wedding ceremony or small reception. The Grand Ballroom, located on the second floor, offers the ideal setting for a reception or dinner party with a wonderful view of downtown Fort Worth. A marble staircase with wrought iron railing connects the upper-floor Ballroom with the Great Room. Elevators also available.
This YWCA landmark building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Contact Suzy Salomon at 817-332-6191 Extension 132 for additonal info."
