It all depends on how much coverage you want. i am getting five hours coverage. That will include about two hours for the ceremony and three hours for the reception. My friends are going to take the "getting ready" shots. i did not think that I needed a photographer for that. Some photographers will tell you that you don't need to cover the complete reception because towards the end of the reception the photos will have a sameness to them. I wanted the photographer at all of my reception so he can capture our getaway.

I am having a husband and wife team for the entire day-it will be about 8 hours. Unlike pp I want to have my "getting ready" shots done by a professional photographer. I think that you can get some great shots of everyone before the wedding. The husband will follow the guys before the ceremony and the wife will follow us before the ceremony.

I am having unlimited coverage. It was a lot more expensive, but I think that the wedding photos are going to be some of the most important part of the wedding. They are our memories after all! both of our families will have lots of people coming in and i want to get as many pictures of our families too as we can. Also, I wanted to have my "getting ready" photos taken by a professional photographer. But, it is really up to you. How much do you want to spend? If the photos are very important to you I would budget the right amount for it.

I too opted for unlimited coverage. I am spending about $2500 so it doesn't come cheap, but I think it will be worth it. It will be about 8 hours worth of coverage starting at 4 and ending at midnight.
