We are having a sit down dinner for our wedding. Are we supposed to provide dinner for the vendors as well? Do they sit at a table with the rest of the guests? What is the etiquette?

It is always nice to have a place for the vendors to sit when they are working the wedding. I would say if it is in your budget I would get them something to eat. When I work weddings I do not expect to eat anything. Vendors are happy if there is a piece of cake left over! Also, depending on the catering hall them may have something there already for them to munch on. There is no right answer for this. Hope this helps!

I highly recommend providind the ability for your vendors to eat if they have been with you all day. Here is an example...

My husband and I are wedding photographers and often, our couples have us cover the entire day. So we arrive 1-1.5 hours before the ceremony and take 'before' shots. Then we cover the ceremony and all the group shots. We take pictures of your 'get away' from the church, rush straight to your reception and cover your 'arrival'. We will also be covering the reception. While people are seated and eating, we do not take pictures at that time (who wants to see Aunt Sally with a mouth full of food??). And we have not had a chance to eat ourselves. Our only alternative is to actually leave and run the risk of missing something important.

Also, many vendors require you to include them on the guest count if they have covered both the wedding and the reception. So, read the contracts that you sign.

If they are included, I would suggest seat them all at one table in a table that is away from your other guests.

Hope this helps.
