| Your bachelor and bachelorette parties are a time to get together with family and friends to celebrate your upcoming nuptials. Following are a list of ideas you may want to consider for your party.
Private Suite Rentals Rent a private suite at a sports arena or complex. Most area venues offer single night rentals of a private suite. Some of the venues are: American Airlines Center in Downtown Dallas. www.americanairlinescenter.com/private-events/luxury_suite_rentals.php These luxury suites may be rented for 18-32 people for Mavericks or Stars games, concerts and other events. The Ballpark in Arlington offers many suite options. You can read more about them at: www.rangers.mlb.com Frisco Roughriders offers suites for 16-40 guests. www.ridersbaseball.com/group/business/ Spa Parties Most day spas offer special bridal party spa days. You can customize your own services or the spa can create one for you. Many of them will include catered lunches. This is a great way to unwind and relax with your bridesmaids and members of the bridal party before the big day. Pool Parties Some local municipalities offer pool rentals at their indoor or outdoor pools. This is for exclusive use of the pool before or after public swim times. If you have a party during the public swim times, some locations will offer a party rental area where you can have a private room for food and beverages. Some allow you to bring in food to the pool area although glass and alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Lifeguards are provided and the rates are quite reasonable. For most pools, rentals are available for non-residents for an extra fee; this policy will vary from city to city. Some local cities that provide this service are as follows; City of Plano Parks and Recreation Department: www.plano.gov/Departments/parksandrecreation/recenters/Pools.htm or call 972-941-7256 City of Arlington: www.ci.arlington.tx.us/park/aquatics/rentapool.html or call 817-459-5462 for booking an outdoor pool or call 817-275-0513 for booking the indoor pool. Frisco Parks and Recreation: www.friscotexas.gov/departments/Parks_Recreation/index.aspx?id=323 City of Dallas: www.dallasparks.org/reservations/reservations.aspx City of Fort Worth www.fortworthgov.org/pacs/info/default.aspx?id=24548&ekmensel=77931891_1398_0_24548_6 You can check with your local Parks and Recreation Department of your city to see if they provide this service. Volunteer Party This is where you and your group of friends volunteer for an afternoon at a charity of your choice. For volunteer opportunities you can contact: www.volunteernorthtexas.org/VolunteerCenter/ Bowling Parties There are several bowling centers in the DFW metroplex. They include: 300 Dallas in Addison which offers Club 300 with 6 private lanes which are separate from the main bowling center. They include big screen TV’s and a billiard table: www.3hundred.com/home.asp?loc=300dallas AMF bowling lanes: www.amf.com/corporate/index.htm Main Event Entertainment serving the metroplex including Forth Worth, Grapevine, Lewisville and Plano locations: www.maineventusa.net/ Golf Outing Choose a public course or if someone in your group belongs to a private course spend a Saturday (or a weekend) together playing golf.
