As a photographer I like to photograph my couples and brides where they feel most comfortable. I will ask them where they met or if they have a favorite park in mind. If they cannot think of anything these are some of the places I will suggest.

The Canal in Las Colinas: Well it is free to photograph there but you will need to get a permit from the city. The images have a European feel to them and my clients LOVE them!

The Botanic Gardens: There is a $25 fee for the Rose Garden and a $75 fee for the Japanese Garden. Well worth the money especially in the spring. I have even photographed large family portraits here.

The Dallas Arboretum: A bit far for me as I am in Fort Worth but I love the Arboretum. There are so many areas to shoot here. They do close at 5pm which means you can be shooting in some pretty harsh light. Also, your brides will have to come already dressed since there is no changing allowed in the rest rooms.

Downtown: Yes this is my first choice really...any downtown will do. Fort Worth, Dallas, Deep Ellum, Grapevine. I do not like posed looking pictures for my engagement sessions. In a downtown setting I can just capture them interacting, sitting in an outside cafe or just walking down the street. Very Fun!

Boating: Yes...I did say on a boat. I have a couple very much into boating and they took me out for the day for part of their engagement session. If they love it and are comfortable with the setting, that will come thru in the photographs.

Trinity Park: This park is a great little park in Fort Worth. I love to photograph under the graffiti ridden bridges. It has an urban feel and my clients love them.

Golf Courses: I photograph a lot at different golf courses. They are usually very green and have nice pathways for some great shots.

I only have one - the concrete teddy bears down in Turtle Creek off Armstrong Ave.

We love the Dallas Arboretum for beautiful settings year round. It is perfect for bridal portraits and engagement photos.

Our brides love the building structures in Las Colinas for European style architecture.

We have a favorite waterscape location for bridal portraits in North Dallas.

Prairie Creek in Richardson with its waterfalls and wooded setting is always a fun place for engagement sessions.

My secret places include the Dallas Arboretum for its shaded areas and beautiful settings for bridal portraits.

I like the hotel St Germain due to its really beautiful old Victorian setting. It looks like Princess Diana would live there!

The Cresent Hotel is wonderful for more formal indoor studio shots.

The Alexander Mansion has great outdoor and indoor features.

One other location that I really like is the Surrey House and Gardens in McKinney due to its old fashioned history and Victorian settings.

I enjoy shooting my Brides at the Dallas Arboretum in the vine archway near the Sunken Garden because the light is always good there and there is less pedestrian traffic than the grove by the frog fountains.

I often shoot in the Downtown Dallas area for Brides desiring a more urban look - for instance the Old Red Court House offers beautiful contrast.

I enjoy capturing Brides in Fair Park as it has both historical urban backgrounds as well as the beautifully-maintained Discovery Gardens for a more botanical look.

I also have many secret places I photograph but you will need to make an appointment with me to find out where they are!"

The Dallas Arboretum is by far one of the most beautiful places in Dallas. It is well worth the location fee. One of my favorite settings at the Arboretum is the Womens Garden with reflection pool. It is colorful even in the middle of winter!

I also like the Forth Worth Rose Gardens. The red steps are a unique visual feast and the location fee is low compared to other gardens on this scale.

The Dallas Arboretum offers a variety of beautifully landscaped backgrounds. Brides can choose from brick walls, huge stones, waterfalls, ponds, flower beds, frog sculptures, stairways, amazing trees, huge columns and much more as a creative backdrop for a great shot. I have been shooting brides and couples at The Dallas Arboretum for many years and each season never fails to amaze me (or my client!)

For bridal portraits I like the Dallas Arboretum.

I like downtown Dallas for a modern, urban feel.

I like to shoot the couples engagement shot at the location they met if its pretty or interesting.
I will often shoot at the reception site.

I have a couple of favorites and I am glad to share them! The canal in Los Colinas is a great location. Located by the Omni hotel, the canal offers many options for gorgeous portraits, while remaining in the same location. Beautiful architecture adds the perfect ambiance to any photograph.

I also like the Cotton Mill in McKinney. For the brides that love grunge gorgeous, the Cotton Mill is absolutely perfect. Imagine huge windows, outdoor archways, and more. But not the kind your momma would imagine! Windows are broken, paint is peeling, and the floor is scarred. The perfect way for that gorgeous gown to really stand out!

The first and foremost is the Dallas Arboretum because of the different beautiful spots and it is very well kept.

My other favorite spot is a park in Richardson that has a wonderful waterfall.

For those that like a taste of Texas there is a park in Frisco that has statues of steers and cowboys.

My favorite places are The Dallas Arboretum, Ft. Worth Botanical Garden, The Canal in Las Colinas, and Deep Ellum. I really like the diversity of the different backgrounds that are present at each location. I always get the personality of the couple first, to better fit their taste. I really enjoy being out of the box too.

Trinity Park in Fort Worth: Great urban feel with the graffiti on the bridges, makes for really dramatic photos.

Deep Ellum: For a even greater urban and edgy look.

Flippen Park in Highland Park: Beautiful park with a gazebo, fountain and a large grassy area with flower beds.

The Harbor District on Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall: GREAT location to shoot engagements and bridals especially at sunset. Large grassy area with huge trees right on the water. A light house, fountains, and dock area make for dynamic backgrounds!

I love Las Colinas Canal, it offers great choices of backgrounds within a short walk and the color scheme is warm and elegant. It offers great lighting choices despite the time of the day.

I also like downtown McKinney for it's historic feel, I did some amazing night shoots with the alley way lighting and colorful lights of stores in the background

Love Dallas downtown also, such as Meyerson Symphony Center as well.
