| My top 5 Wedding Day Make-up and Skin Care Tips!
1. PREPARE YOUR SKIN: Your big day will be full of hugs and kisses from well-wishers and tons of photograph opportunities! Prepare your skin for all that close-up attention by starting a basic skin care program at least 2 months prior to your wedding. Daily care should include a morning and evening regiment that will prime your face for the sheer makeup look brides love! 2. WATERPROOF MASCARA IS A MUST! A wedding day is truly a happy occasion, but be prepared to shed many tears of joy! Waterproof mascara will ensure that your look stays flawless and picture perfect. 3. PRACTICE AND BE YOURSELF: Don’t wait for your big day to try out your special wedding look! Work with a professional to plan and test the look that’s right for you before hand. And don’t go for something completely unlike yourself; instead, simply try to enhance or build on your normal look. You’ll be more comfortable and confident in a look that is closer to your comfort zone. 4. ALWAYS BE PREPARED: You’ve got other things to focus on besides your makeup, so take the worry out of things by preparing your “big day must haves” the night before. Be sure your kit includes foundation, lip gloss, fragrance and blush for touch-ups throughout the day, as well as bobby pins, safety pins and tape for those unforeseen emergency moments. Put your wedding day lip gloss and some make-up blotters in a small purse that you can have handy and by your side all day to ensure you’ll be ready for all photo opportunities! 5. STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES: Sure, it’s easier said than done, but stay calm and enjoy your day….try not to break a sweat! Instead, leave all the worries and work for others while you bask in the glow of your moment. Ensure your air of confidence for the day with a fragrance that is 100% you! Pick something subtle but that will leave a lasting impression on everyone who meets you. Wedding Wishes thanks Rebecca Scott for providing this article. Rebecca is a Mary Kay consultant.
