| Oscar Fierro: Fashion Enigma Oscar Fierro grew up in poverty stricken El Salvador and witnessed first-hand the atrocities and tragedy that civil war brings to any nation. Despite growing up in such a tumultuous environment, Oscar nurtured a passion to not only better himself but his beloved country as well. It was this passion and desire that lead him to the United States as a young man and once he set foot on American soil, he began to pursue the ever elusive American dream. While the Fierro label may be relatively new, it has been a vision and goal of Oscar's since before leaving El Salvador. Oscar has always had a clear vision of who he was and makes no apologies for his brazen attitude or the brutally honest words that come out of his mouth. Anyone who wears a Fierro design is destined to be in the spotlight of any party or event they attend, much like the designer himself. Barely over 5 feet tall, Oscar walks around like he is twice that height and bulletproof as well! Much like his summer 2010 collection, "The Risk Taker", Oscar has lived a life full of risks and unknowns. These risks are realized daily when he walks through one of his assisted living centers, finds new causes to support through his foundation, or when he silently creates his next fabulous collection. Oscar Fierro is, without a doubt, an enigma that continues to evolve and surprise everyone around him. |
