The Black-eyed Pea is not a place you would typically turn to for catering your wedding. Most people think *Down Home Country Goodness* not *Elegant, Formal Delicious food*. However, I was pleasantly surprised by Heather and her sincerity and caring nature. She really took care of me and helped me change from a nervous wreck, to a confident bride. I had only 6 weeks to plan our wedding, and I found her 2 weeks into it. She was able to have a plan drawn up for us in minutes, as well as help us find a venue. You don't have to choose from a set plan, you're able to actually create the menu yourself without a hassle. I would recommend them a million times over.

I would like to thank Heather Rose and her assistant Jennifer Gonzalez for arranging such a fabulous spread for my wedding. I felt nervous searching for caterers since they tend to be the most costly part of weddings. I ran into some that were pushy and tried to add other services that I can't afford and didn't need. However, I just wanted some down-home, comfortable food for my semi-formal wedding and I received that and more through Black Eyed Pea. I love that they emailed a spreadsheet where you can add or subtract the food you want and the quantities needed. Everything will add up and down to the taxes to where you can see the final price off the bat. Our face-to-face meeting was brief since my fiancé and I were familiar with their delicious food, so not much of my time was taken during these arrangements. On my wedding day, wait staff were attentive and friendly towards me and my guests; one of the waiters went beyond his duties to help me out with a few minor decor problems. Towards the end of the night, they packed up our leftovers for my guests to take home in individual bags. They even left a bag for my husband and I to have for our wedding night. Black-Eyed Pea deserves high praises and their restaurants shall expect plenty of visits from my guests in the future.

Where do I start?! From the very beginning Heather was awesome! She met me and my fiancé (husband now) at our convenience and at a location close to us. We sampled lots of dishes and she was very good at making recommendations and helping us plan our meal. Heather was also able to provide us with rentals of linens (which we didn’t' use but very helpful anyway) and rentals of all our plates, utensils, glasses and all for the wedding (the price below includes all of that). The day of the wedding her and her team went above and beyond our expectation! She personally served my husband and I (we had a buffet line) and made sure we had food and cake to-go at the end of the night. She even got us our drinks at the bar! They made sure we had small plates and knife and forks at the cake table for when we cut our cake and served all of our guests, so they didn’t have to wait in line! Most importantly the food was amazing and we had people talking to us about the next day!!!

Heather was great from the get go, she's very warm and has a caring personality. I wanted a pasta station but kept hearing great reviews about Heather so I just asked if I could have pasta not thinking she would say yes (being that it's home-style cooking) but she did. I even wanted the sauce and meat separate so guests could have a choice. The wedding night Heather and her staff were really great. Everyone loved the food. You really can't beat the price for what you get.

I'll admit, I had my reservations about using Black Eyed Pea. In my mind, I thought everything would be *Country* and just not that appealing. I was dying for sleek and sophisticated. With Heather and her team, I was given just that. The meal was amazing, the service was excellent and I couldn't have asked for nicer people to work with. They even stored some sparkling cider and brought it to the venue for me. Heather is very professional and more than willing to help with ANY issue you have, even if it has NOTHING to do with catering. I'm a first time bride and the only girl in the family. My mother and I were LOST, with only 6 weeks to plan. Heather was our saving grace. If you go with Black Eyed Pea, you will NOT be disappointed. Another great thing they do is box up a meal for the bride and the groom. This way, once all is said and done, and you go to your hotel room, you have something to eat. Most likely, your food was cold because you had to walk around and talk to everyone. This gives you the chance to actually have a full, hearty meal, without any interruptions. Plus, you get to eat without worrying about your gown! A++++ for service with a smile. You can't go wrong with Black Eyed Pea.
